Lancashire Weaving provides specialist loom maintenance, repair and restoration for traditional and modern weaving machinery across the North of England and Southern Scotland. Alongside our engineering services, we also produce small-batch handwoven textiles, keeping Lancashire’s craft heritage alive.

A Weaver’s Craft, a Lancashire Tradition
Lancashire Weaving was founded by a skilled loom technician with over 30 years of experience in the textile industry. Having worked with a wide range of looms – from modern rapier looms to heritage Hattersley looms – weaving is more than a job.
It’s a passion, a craft, and a piece of Lancashire’s history that we are proud to keep alive. Our mission is simple: to create quality, traditionally woven fabrics that celebrate the heritage of British textiles while supporting local manufacturing.
At Lancashire Weaving, we support weavers, studios, mills, and heritage organisations across the North of England and Southern Scotland. With decades of technical experience, we offer specialist services including:
Expert servicing for traditional shuttle looms, Hattersley looms, domestic looms, and modern machinery such as Picanol airjet and rapier looms. We diagnose faults, adjust timing and tension, restore older equipment, and keep looms running smoothly.
Help with assembling, warping, troubleshooting, and learning to weave. Ideal for beginners and returning weavers.
We source, buy, restore, and rehome looms, tools, shuttles, warping equipment and accessories. Collection available across the region.
Small-batch woven pieces made on traditional looms using British yarns, with options for custom orders and limited runs.
Short-term support for mills needing skilled weavers, loom technicians, or overlookers during holidays, sickness, recruitment gaps or busy production periods.
